About the wine
Gamla Syrah 2018 presents aromas of ripe fruit that blend with characteristics of smoke, soil, anise and canned meat. This is a Syrah with a very good body and full of flavor. Gamla Syrah 2018 is ready to drink upon its release and will be kept at its best for five to seven years from the vintage.
 
Wine and food
The wine goes great with a leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic, slow-roasted beef ribs or a mushroom stew and gouda cheese.
 
Gamla Syrah 2018 is made from Syrah grapes grown in vineyards in the cool Golan Heights. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
On the tumor area

The Galilee is the northernmost growing area in Israel and is considered the best for growing wine grapes. Within this growing area, the Golan Heights is the part where the temperatures are the coolest and the grapes are of the highest quality. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau grow from 400 meters to 1200 meters above sea level and the highest ones where snow meets in winter.
The Golan Heights Winery is located in the city of Katzrin, which is in the center of the Golan.
