The Gamla Syrah displays ripe cherry and plum fruit characters, with complex notes of smoke, earth, anise and spice. With medium to full body, this Syrah is aromatic and flavorful.
The wine pairs wonderfully with grilled lamb chops, smoky spiced porterhouse steaks, or fried tofu with spicy peanut sauce.
The 2014 Gamla Syrah is produced exclusively from Syrah fruit harvested from vineyards in the cool Golan Heights growing region. The wine aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is ready to drink upon release, and should remain in excellent drinking shape for about five to seven years from vintage.
